Rate Limiting Details
Rate limiting helps ensure fair usage and system stability. Limits are applied per organization (tenant) across all API requests (REST, SDK, widget).
Free Plan:
- 5 requests/sec, 50/min, 500/hour
- Suitable for testing and very low traffic
- Example: Personal blog or portfolio site
Basic Plan:
- 10 requests/sec, 100/min, 1,000/hour
- Suitable for low to moderate traffic
- Example: Small e-commerce site with occasional customer questions
Premium Plan:
- 25 requests/sec, 500/min, 5,000/hour
- Suitable for moderate to high traffic
- Example: Growing SaaS product with active user base
Enterprise Plan:
- Default: 50 requests/sec, 1,000/min, 10,000/hour
- Custom limits configurable via admin dashboard
- Example: High-traffic e-commerce during sales events
Enterprise plans can configure custom rate limits in Settings β Rate Limits. Premium plans can request temporary increases for special events.
Visitor Limits
Monthly visitor limits are based on unique visitors who interact with your chat widget.
What counts as a visitor:
- A unique user who opens or interacts with your chat widget
- Counted once per month, even if they return multiple times
- Visitors who only view the widget but donβt interact are not counted
What happens if you exceed limits:
- Free, Basic & Premium: Chat continues to work, but youβll be notified to upgrade
- Enterprise: No limits, chat always available
Application Limits
Each application is a separate chat widget instance with its own configuration. An application represents a chat widget that can be embedded on a specific website domain. Your organization gets one subdomain (e.g., yourcompany.deliverychat.com) that serves all your applications.
Free & Basic (1 application):
- One chat widget for your main website
- Example: Embed widget on
yourcompany.com(connects toyourcompany.deliverychat.com)
Premium (5 applications):
- Multiple chat widgets for different products, brands, or regions
- Example: Embed widgets on

Enterprise (Unlimited):
- As many applications as you need
- Perfect for large organizations with multiple brands, products, or regions
- Each application can be embedded on a different website domain
Upgrade & Downgrade
Upgrading:
- Upgrade anytime from your dashboard
- Changes take effect immediately
- Prorated billing for the current month
Downgrading:
- Downgrade at the end of your billing cycle
- Your data is preserved
- Features beyond your new plan are disabled but data remains accessible
Free Trial:
